Description | Embroidered linen blouse. Sleeve pattern starts at the top with a panel that has wide dark brown horizontal stripes alternating with thin pink and beige stripes. The central pattern is predominantly beige. The lower section features diagonal stripes of light brown, small, diamond motifs. Sleeves are gathered at the bottom, fastened with a hook and eye. The front and back panels of the blouse feature dark brown and pink vertical stripes. The neckline is gathered with dark brown and pink embroidery thread. Pokuttia region, nineteenth century. embroidery stitch: cross stitch. |
