Description | A hand-woven linen runner (rushnyk) was originally used to hang over an icon. One of three from a set. Beige background with colourful woven zig-zag stripes and diamond motifs. This runner features an end pattern in red, yellow, dark blue, dark green and purple. Central colour stipes are purple with white diamond motifs. Fringes on each end. A loop was sewn onto one side to help hang it over an icon. Matches UF2013.045.a113 and UF20130.045.a114. |
