| Description | A stylized red and blue traditional woolen hand-woven plakhta - two narrow panels, joined together with a decorative joining stitch. The edges are decorated with buttonhole stitch. Each corner of the plakhta bottom is decorated with a pompom. The field of plakhta has stars or rectangles woven in cells. Reconstruction of the traditional plakhta as a single skirt. Part of the outfit together with a sash (UF2022.002.a004). Embroidery stitch: joining stitch, buttonhole stitch. |
