Holinaty, Elizabeth]]> pillowcase]]> This pillow was created by Elizabeth Holinaty specifically to match her orange shag rug and couch. The pillow was displayed on the back of the couch. Elizabeth reported that the pillow was a project in an evening embroidery class taught by Mrs. Semchuk at M.E. Lazert High school in Edmonton in approximately 1980. (However, the pillow appears in photographs dated 1976 and 1977). See UF2014.043.p001-4). The embroidery stitch is Zavolykannia. The pattern was inspired by plate #48 in a book of Bukovynian patterns that she thinks was published by UWAC. Elizabeth modified the pattern for her project.
